Another big feature in Tiger is Dashboard~ If you don’t know what a Dashboard is by now, well, go to the Apple Site, but it basically provide one click access to little Widgets programs that give you instant information~ I love the implementation of it, it’s so nicely done, work just like Expośe~ There’s like 14 Widgets that comes with Tiger, and there will be many more in the future~ One thing I noticed is that all these little Widgets pretty much replace the functionalities of another OSX app – Sherlock!! Yeah Sherlock has been make obsolete~ Look at all the Channels of Sherlock! Stocks, Phonebook, Flights, Dictionary, Translation~ Dashboard Widgets took care of all of them, the only useful channel that don’t have a Widget replacement is checking Movie listing~ so for now Sherlock will remain on my Dock until a Movie listing Widget appears!

Another Dashboard related news – I was just talking to John about the lack of update on one of my favorite OSX Third-party program – Delicious Library~ Turns out that a new update will be here on the same day as the release of Tiger! version 1.5 of Delicious Library will have a Widget on Dashboard~ it’s gonna be so cool! other new update includes more international title lookup, so hopefully all my HK dvds can finally show up on Delicious Library without manually typing them in~
