Abandoning PC

9 June 2005 427 views No Comment

Ever since I got my Powerbook, I have used my desktop PC less and less. Currently I used it for 3 reasons only – Hard drive storage (it’s a combined 200GB with 2 drives), Downloading (PC has more P2P clients), and Games~ But I have been trying out things to move these 3 functions to the Powerbook so that I can ditch the Desktop completely. For downloading, I am trying out aMule and Cabos on Mac, so far it’s an acceptable substitute; For Hard drive storage, there’s an easy solution of external case that can house an internal Hard drive and make it an external Hard drive for me to use with the powerbook; As for games, that’s the tough one but not too difficult to solve~ I don’t play games like halo or any graphically intense games, my type of games are like civilization, simcity, etc. and this genre of games always make it to the mac, so now I am trying to get a hold of some of these title and see if the speed on the mac is acceptable, if it is, I might have a chance to ditch the PC completely~
