Concert

Yesterday I went to Jason Mraz’s concert in Lincoln Center. That was freaking fantastic!!! The whole thing was quite unbelievable consider I only know about the concert this past Thursday when i was reading the new york magazine. and somehow in the back they listed the events for the week, and under concert i notice two names that sounded familiar – Jason Mraz and Kelly Clarkson, one in Lincoln Center, one in Madison Sq. Garden, both are on Sunday at 8pm. I was so shocked cos they are both my favorite singers and on sunday?!! that’s like 3 days away at that time!!! I log on to the website and wow, I was able to get the ticket for Jason Mraz! Even more amazing is the seat that we got! it’s the 10th row away from the stage! right in the middle too! The whole concert hall was packed, so i had no idea how lucky i was to get a good seat like that out of nowhere!
I think a while ago i had a post about how much I like Jason’s latest Album Mr. A-Z. And boy o boy, he’s even better singing live! (That can’t hold truth to many singers nowaday!) Not only he’s a good guitar player, he wrote most of his songs and damn he can sing! his range is just amazing, from opera to rap, ballad to caribbean sound, he can all handle it well, The opera part of the song Mr. Curiosity, I had no idea he actually sang that part!!! I always thought it was someone else singing that part, it got to be! but I was wrong, he sang it right there on stage! and he’s funny too! he know how to capture the audience without any fancy clothes or crazy decoration on stage, just plain jeans and tees and baseball cap, yeah, he’s just so cool. I had a blast! even the opening act was good, this Raul Midon, who’s blind by birth, but damn he can play his guitar!!! I highly recommend the whole show if his tour stop by your town~ it’s money well spent! ($35 tickets, that’s cheap comparing the others)
