Instead of Garageband, I think I’ll take a look at iWeb first because there is a need to post pictures online. Just like all the first version of Apple applications, this one got lots of potential and it’s so easy to use, but after reading so many review of the program, I know it seriously need another feature update to make a great app. So until iLife 07, iWeb probably won’t satisfy many users, but does it satisfy my need right now? Let’s see….

Many of my favorite shows are now off the air, the only ones that left are in their last season. When Will&Grace and Scrubs (it’s not official, but when the network put the show off the air for 3 months then air the episodes back to back – it’s a no-brainer that it might not survive another season) gone soon. I really will not watch TV anymore, (Alias and Lost are too complicated to watch on live TV, I prefer to watch them on DVDs) because there …

update: More reassuring news- the deal between Disney/Pixar also included that the 7 directors and creative executives all stayed with the new combined company. There will be a committee to make sure Pixar stays the same, Pixar logo and name will still be on all the Pixar’s movie and on their campus. The more I read into it the more I think I don’t have to worry about any negative effects on Pixar.
Of all the news about this merger, more of Pixar’s past is revealed, including this one bit …

Disney’s buying Pixar, but to me, it looks like Pixar’s taking over Disney, at least their animation portion is now dominated by Pxiar’s people. When I first heard the news, I was a bit worried how it will affect the quality of Pixar’s movies, they have such a good track record that I am just afraid that Disney might screw it up. Today’s Disney is no longer the one that Walt built years ago, or not even the Disney during the 90s renaissance when Little Mermaid, Beauty and the …

I dunno if anyone ever try to record themselves, but hear your own voice is a pretty weird experience. Last week I have to record an online lecture for the online class students. The program capture my voice and also record the screen. Upon hearing my own voice I immediately want to turn it off and run!! I love karaoke so I hear my singing voice a thousand times and it’s fine. But my talking voice? omg it sounded totally juvenile, how on earth can I be teaching …

Okay, first of all, this post is not about that dumbass company that declare mp3 player war on Apple and got crushed. It’s about being creative.
There are many times I have some fascinating creative ideas but never have the right tools to make it into reality. Apple and my Powerbook changed that. It’s getting harder and harder to get Winnie a gift every year since she has everything and she out-grown all the decoration cartoon-based gifts – after you know a person for ten-years, you slowly run out …

Macworld 2006 unveiled the new intel-based iMac and MacBook Pro. I of course love to have both. But since I just got my Powerbook last February, needless to say it’s not reasonable to get the MacBook Pro, not to mention I believe it will probably have some revisions within this year before it become a perfect dream laptop for me. As for the iMac, that’s a whole different story. I do take my laptop with me to work at least once a week, sometimes twice, so …

2005 was a fantastic year. It really was. I’ve done so much, achieved so much, experienced so much, and above all, I was mostly happy.
I achieved most of the goals that I set for myself, I wanted to see more of the world, and I gotta see London, Amsterdam, and Hong Kong in the same year; I wanted to switch platform from Windows to Mac, well, I got that done with my beloved Powerbook; I wanted none of my gadget associated with the memories of B, well, both …

The holidays of 2005 passed by without me even noticing. Okay, let me explain, not that I don’t know the holidays was there, I did went to both a X’mas dinner and a New Years dinner with my friends. It’s just that the holidays was usually very tough to get through for me because I would get all these incredible holiday blues. It makes me feel every single minute of the holidays in the worst possible way. It’s so dreadful that every year the holidays just felt …
