Today I suppose to have a late shift, so my plan was to wake up at 10am, well, around 8am the whole house was shaking! and LOUD noise coming from the street, apparently they are doing huge roadwork right outside, not small roadwork, HUGE with big machines! Looks like they are working on the water main with all the big pipes on the sidewalk! I couldn’t go back to sleep, so I have to wake up and start my morning early! I was already pissed, and when I found …

Fresh from my positive thoughts in the afternoon, and some ego-boost at work, I headed to the social meeting without any expectation. Just try to be self-confident and socialize with people. When I get there I immediately talked to the girls I know there and didn’t realize someone was stand behind us. It’s my new awesome friend!!! He said he was there hoping to see me~ that obviously make me happy! I really didn’t expect to see him, and he actually wasn’t even on my mind ever …

As I was eating the fried chicken udon during lunch, I suddenly felt a moment of peace. Not sure if it’s the udon or the soup or any secret ingredient, but I felt calm after a day and a half of thinking explosively with my head. My new “friend” won’t be the first and most likely not the last of guys that I have strong feelings with. I can be more relax about matters with him because there will be a next person if things don’t work out with …

As I was thinking of all kind of things yesterday, I started thinking about all the famous eras in time, and how they match up with the guys in my life. Now there is the Jurassic period, there is B.C., there is A.D. Now Jurassic is beyond ancient, it’s so pre-historical that it doesn’t affect nowaday much and everything dangerous from that era become something fun, like how humans love the dinosaurs! and the fact that Jurassic period break into a few sub-periods, all together is the perfect analogy of …

I had a conference in Columbia University today, so naturally I have to be there in Columbia University! I haven’t been in that campus for a long time. In between now and the last time I was there, Columbia U somehow become associated with B in my head because he got his degree there. As like anything else that got associated with him in my mind, just mentioning it would remind me of the painful memories. But today, besides attending the conference, I was there to …

I had a dream of playing Civ 4 yesterday. I guess I really really want to play the game! In the dream I was playing a native american nation on a small continent, and out of nowhere the Zulu dropped a weapon of mass destruction on my capital!!! It leveled everything, and I have to quickly rebuild. But at the same time, the Zulu sent a ship and unload an entire army at the doorsteps of my still rebuilding capital with almost 0 defense!! and then I woke …

It’s rainning like hell in NY today since the afternoon, it certainly cut my plans with him short, but despite that, we still managed to have a great time.Sometimes when you plan out a date, you envision which part of it will be the highlight, the main event, the most enjoyable part of the evening. But of course it rarely go according to the plan! This time is no exception, but the unexpected is actually good. My original plan was to take him to dinner, then walk around …

I am feeling every bit of emotion today. I am excited about going out with him tomorrow; I am worried about if he will like what I planned (he has no idea where I will bring him), well, truth be told I am nervous about anything with him in general; I am annoyed I missed James Blunt’s free concert yesterday; I am frustrated at the amount of work at work; I am curious about going to my parents new apt tonight for the first time since they move in …

How does the people of this country still give high rating to this government on national security is beyond me! Cutting anti-terrorism money from the NUMBER ONE target city that is on every single terrorists’s list??? Seriously, what kind of decision is that? and they have the nerve to explain their decision in the most unbelievable reasoning I ever see.
“New York officials were given a one-page tally that explained, in part, how the region’s risk-based standing was calculated. The document said the region had no “national monuments or icons,” …
