Show my Desktop

16 August 2006 324 views No Comment

I was quite busy trying to take care of the fall out of my recent dumbness 1 , 2, 3. Get new replacement cards, make phone calls, change my automatic payments that are link to the credit card, etc. Naturally, I don’t have time to blog as much for the last 2 days, but I have a lot to say. Unfortunately, I can’t blog about what I want to say but to blog about my desktop first – because someone challenged me to show my desktop. Original questions were in Chinese, so I’ll just roughly translate what they are asking and answer them.

1) What OS are you running?
Mac OSX 10.4.7
2) Is this your personal computer? or company? or family shared?
My own laptop, Powerbook G4 15″ 2005 Jan. update model!! it’s my precious!!
3) What is your wallpaper called? Where did you get it?
(I have a dual monitor set up, so there are two)
This particular one on my main screen is called the Dark Sky. I love vector art wallpapers, it’s so stylish, so I point it to my vector art folder and let it change automatically. I got this one from Deviant art.
The one on my second screen is called Selfillumination. For the second screen I point the wallpaper setup to my 3D art wallpapers, so lots of robots and 3D landscapes. I believe I also got it from Deviant art, but I could be wrong, well, original web address is on the wallpaper anyway.
4) How often do you change your wallpaper?
Every minute. (OSX has build in automatic wallpaper changing option!)
5) How many icons do you have on your desktop?
6 for now, if i unplug my ipod it would be 5. 4 of them are my hard drives and 1 is note.
6) Can you stand it if you have a messy desktop?
What do you think? I am a Librarian! I am all about order!
7) Any must have on your desktop?
Not really, there are some must have on my Dashboard, but I am not gonna mention it unless you are a mac person!
8) Did you “clean up” because of this test?
Did I need to? what else do i need to clean up??
