Site News: NEW LOOK!

12 August 2006 240 views 4 Comments

After a few days of testing, I am pleased to unveil the brand new look of this blog!!!! It’s the most radical change since the beginning of the blog. The past two months there were many new features on the sidebar, and this new look is kind of a grand finale for this two years anniversary blogging celebration.

Let me comment on the design! It’s inspired by the cover of the Friends DVD set. I always wanted to make my blog to have a NY urban theme. The original template I took on when I started the blog was Doug Bowman’s Harbor theme. It’s very relaxing and nice looking theme, but obviously it is a far cry from anything big city alike. The past two years small steps were taken to move closer to this goal of making it more fitting to the title of the blog. From the removal of all the original sea related elements, to the addition of Chrysler Building, apple icon and the shadow of Harry Potter. It was a good design, but for the two year anniversary, I really wanted to complete my goal of making it the way I envision it.

So let me hear what you think!

Thanks!! I am glad you like it I was worried that the color scheme has too much gray compared to the last one.

how come the bottom picture shift to the right? is that what you want?

If you mean the buildings on right appeared further away, then yes, I intentionally do that because I like the buildings on the left much better, so I want them to appear more closer by.
