Audiobooks are usually more expensive than the regular book. Even when it’s on iTunes, it’s still not getting cheaper. So even though it’s a good way of catching up on literature, I never really got into it. I have one book from iTunes and that is it. I come across this cool site LibriVox, it turns all public domain literature into audiobooks! Obviously all of the literature are classics that are at least 100 years old, otherwise it wouldn’t be in the public domain. …

This week I felt like I didn’t do anything except watching movies and TV shows. (even though I did do other things such as spend time with relatives, hang out with friends, but I dunno, it just doesn’t feel like I did anything major for these two weeks vacations) I have been watching my Christmas present Lost Season 2 DVDs, I have been watching “15/16″ a Chinese game show, and I have been watching selected episodes of Scrubs and Ally McBeal. As for the movies, I watched the …

I was always searching for a solution to the problem. But I it doesn’t seem like there is one. Lately, I feel like I don’t need to look for a solution because if I don’t consider the problem a problem, then a solution is not needed. When I stop believing there is a solution, then the problem itself stop being a problem because the equation has been broken. No more solution, no more problem. It is just it, nothing more.

It kind of freak me out that twice within this week I dreamt about my Powerbook being stolen! First one happened in the library in Queens back in my college days. I left it on one of the study desk and a guy took it. I know that guy too! he’s one of my classmate back in elementary school. I always thought he’s sneaky, who knew he’s a thief! There’s also books that need to be shelved on that desk too, and yet when I …

There was a fire when I was little, so I thought most of my baby pictures or any evidence of them are gone. All the other childhood pictures I saw aer when I was 4 or 5 or above. Well, apparently they actually survived, in the form of audio-less home videos. They are in these film format that I doubt any of us can find a machine at home to view them. My mom brought one of them to a photo lab and let them …

It’s almost Christmas time, so I have been listening to Christmas songs this whole week. Here’s my favorites:
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas (Vonda Shepard version). It was from an Ally McBeal episode where she saw an Unicorn. It wasn’t a particularly sad episode but the scene and the song just really hit a nerve in me and I love this song ever since. I listen to countless many versions of this song, but Vonda’s still my favorite.
My Grown-up Christmas List (Michael Buble or Kelly Clarkson …

I just watched the latest episode of SNL with host Justin Timberlake. I gotta said this season so far, is the most solid funny season for the past few years. Each episode consistantly made me laugh, compare to a couple seasons ago or even last season when there were a LOT of episode that wasn’t funny the entire show. This season is the most welcoming change! The Alec Baldwin ep was already very funny, this time around Justin really bring even more energy into the show. …

I didn’t read the book, but the condensed version I get from the movie sound awfully familiar!
A young boy, raised by his uncle in a farm. One day his uncle was killed by evil force who are seeking the boy. The boy run off with a mentor. The mentor taught the boy the way of an elite group that was all but extinct because of a rogue member of the group took over years ago. That rogue member become the ruling party and the main villain …

****spoiler warning****I saw Eragon today. It’s a good movie overall, but it just nowhere near the gold standard set by LOTR or the ever improving Harry Potter series. The strong point of the movie is the relationship between Eragon and his dragon Saphira. (voiced by Rachel Weisz, who is just awesome) Saphira is really lively and believable as a character, she’s the real star of the movie. These characters really works but that is the problem, everything else just can’t measure up. The scenery is totally …

Zach Braff has another movie out soon with Jason Bateman, so it’s kinda like Scrubs vs. Arrested Development! It also co-stars Amanda Peet and a few SNL stars. I hope this time his character would be a lot more lovable that that stupid unfaithful guy in the Last Kiss. But anyway, I know I will go watch it no matter what.
