Baby Harry

22 December 2006 459 views 2 Comments

There was a fire when I was little, so I thought most of my baby pictures or any evidence of them are gone. All the other childhood pictures I saw aer when I was 4 or 5 or above. Well, apparently they actually survived, in the form of audio-less home videos. They are in these film format that I doubt any of us can find a machine at home to view them. My mom brought one of them to a photo lab and let them convert it into DVD, so yesterday I was watching baby Harry doing all kind of embarrassing things on screen. There is one thing I didn’t expect at all…my Apple obsession started way earlier than I ever thought. Here’s the evidence:

The photo lab did a good job of cleaning the footage up and put it on a dvd, but that is all they did, granted there’s chapters and stuff, but it’s all just numbers and nothing exciting or nice about it. So you know me, I immediately think of ways to improve it. Now that the footage is in DVD, which mean digital! I can easily manipulate it. I can finally use the Apple applications that I have no reason to use before!!! I can use iMovie to edit the footage, Garageband to score the movie, and iDVD to create awesome DVD with amazing menus!! haha! All 3 apps at the same time!!! I got all excited but at the same time realize it is a huge project. So to test the water and see how time consuming or difficult it would be, I use this footage with me and a bag of Apples, and created this short clip:

I did the text and also the music. Overall it’s not too difficult thanks to Apple’s easy to use apps. I might go ahead and do the whole thing! This is gonna be fun!
