Tofu dessert

3 December 2006 212 views No Comment

Finally got a chance to try out Kyotofu in Hell’s Kitchen. This dessert place has the decor that I like (All white and chic, just like my favorite Apple Store), the main sitting area is like a gay spaceship! and everything is awesome there. The spoon is the cutest looking spoon that I have seen yet, it’s like that tool that the doctor use to cover one of your eyes during eyes exam. The waiter is nice and totally cute! I had the black sesame sweet tofu, which for Chinese would enjoy this twist on the idea of sweet tofu, for the rest of the population, they would compare it to pudding. But no matter who you are, you will enjoy the texture of this sweet tofu, it’s brilliantly made. My friends got the sansho-pepper tofu cheese cake (don’t ask me the details of what sansho means, it’s just delicious!) and warm chestnut mochi chocolate cake. (awesome awesome awesome! You know how much I love warm chocolate cake! this i believe rivals the one from LAN)

The place is a bit expensive, similar to the ChikaLicious Dessert Bar in East Village, but still is acceptable if you had a cheap dinner beforehand. And if I have extra money, I probably would also try the Green-tea-tini on the drink menu~ hehe
