Other thought on Macworld

We take it for granted that iLife and iWork will get an update every time Steve take the stage in Macworld in January. Now that this year, when both application suite’s name weren’t even mention by Steve at all, is a bigger surprise than anything he actually announced. So why ain’t they announced this year? Is it because iPhone is such a features full product that there’s just no time during the Keynote? or Steve know how will iPhone monopolize everyone’s attention, therefore he rather announce them in another event so that their thunder won’t be stolen by iPhone? My guess is actually that the features and styles of iLife and iWork suites will be so tie-in to the next OSX Leopard, that Steve would want to announce them in conjuction with the announcement of Leopard! Steve promised Leopard will be ready in Spring 07, and that there are a few secret features he will unveil. He said that last August and everyone expected he will surely give people an update in Macworld. Well that didn’t happened. That to me is more another clue that iLife and iWork share something special with Leopard and Steve will unveil them all together in one event. In his keynote this time, he mentioned “in the next couple of months” there will be something exciting happening for the Mac.” he leave it at that and start talking about Apple TV and iPhone. Now that’s just plain and simple! I can’t wait for the next special event cos OSX, iLife and iWork are the ones that i will actually get immediately if it’s available!
