Lately if you notice there are many ads on the subway trains for Showtime new mini-series Tudors. I am all for historical mini-series, especially it’s about Britain. Hey, I didn’t get my history degree without studying British history for at least 4 courses. I do like British history, there’s so much drama there. The Tudors period specially, with feuds between sisters, dad and his lovers, church and state, international rivalry. It’s just so much fun to read about it. Now the mini-series focus on …

Continuing my role as the urban explorer, today I went to the Gantry Plaza State Park at the waterfront of Long Island City, better known as the place where they put the giant Cola sign. I have been to a few block south last year, the man-made Water Taxi Beach. It was a completely different scene just within less than a year. Last year I had to walk through a few blocks of ruin abandoned warehouses. And there was like maybe two residential towers only. Now the entire …

I was upset. So I went on one of my tradmarked angry walk to Soho. All dress up in my best outfit, fix my hair nicely and looking all awesome. Walking down Soho and looking down at people as if I am better than anyone else, and that I reign over them as if I am royalty. When I see happy shiny people walking passed me, I imagined that the ground would shake and open up under them. I narrated “From beneath you it devours!” …

Here is some not-so-completed footage from the Golden Compass, a film that I eagerly waiting because I love the original novels! The His Dark Materials trilogy really is something special. Granted it is a fantasy starring children, and set in Britain, but it’s very different in terms of some of the subjects it touches on in the book. Not sure how everything got translated into the film (i.e. the religious elements that might offend you-know-which-kind of organizations), but I have confident in the director Chris Weitz (Loved his …

First day of my Spring vacation, I had to stop by my doctor nearby, so I might as well stop by my old college afterward. I didn’t think there would be anything to surprise me there, there isn’t any new buildings or facilities this past year. But when I passed by the main administration building, I was shocked to see the Information booth where there was staff there giving out direction has emptied out and replaced by some………drum roll please……iMac!!!!!!! For the 7 years I was there, …

I guess I like Scrubs too much that I was dreaming not only about it, but dreamt an entire new episode! Even the voice over and the background music (which is The Fray, just like the show~) I was J.D. in the dream, and I hear voice over narrating what is going on. I was in the hospital with Elliot where she go on and on about her parents, I turn around and saw Dr. Cox, he was ranting about something to the new interns. I walked …

According this news, How I Met Your Mother might not make it to next season! Whoever making decision in CBS, you gotta be kidding me right?? The show is way funnier than anything else you have on air, it’s might not have the wackiness of Scrubs, Office and 30 Rock on NBC, but it’s way way way better than the regular sitcoms! The show also has a sentimental value to a lot of people because it’s the only place on TV now that has lots of Buffy/Angel Alums appeared …
