Ever since I got obsession with Apple a few years back, I have watched pretty much every keynote or interview of Steve Jobs. Today is the All Things Digital Conference and he has a Q&A session there. I wasn’t gonna talk about it, but Steve made a comment at the end that just slays me! I have included a video hightlight here, the video runs for 10 mins, if you don’t want to hear about iPhone, Apple TV, iPod, then skip ahead to almost the very end, …

A bit of Web 2.0 news – I have been following closely with the news about Last.fm, if you have been reading my blog you know I love their charts. Anyway today they were bought by CBS for $280m, (in comparison – Google bought YouTube with $165 Billions and Myspace was bought by News Corp. with $580m) I can see the potential benefits includes, looking after by a big guy if there’s any copyright loyalty issue going on, more music and music video (currently a lot of music …

I stopped by the new State Park by the waterfront of Williamsburg today before I head to the city. The first glance did not impress at all, it’s so barren, with grass and tiny trees. Even the remains of rail lines are hard to see. There is like nothing at all except a few picnic tables.
I walked along the stony path all the way down to the waterfront where you can see the skyline of the city up close. It is nice but still didn’t impress …

So my last celebrity sighting was someone that none of the people I talked to know about – Michael Pitt. All I remember was that he was in a few episodes in Dawson’s Creek playing the character Henry Parker, a love interest of Jen. That was a couple months ago in Kate’s paperie.
This time around I think at least someone will know this celebrity I just saw! I was in Kim’s video on St Marks Pl and I saw John Krasinski – Jim Halpert from the …

Here’s another twisted take on the fairy tale genre, this time by the origin of all the fairy tales movie – Disney itself! The trailer looks a little cheesy, but there’s James Marsden and Patrick Dempsey, not to mention Susan Sarandon as the evil queen, that’s gonna be interesting. the movie’s not out until Thanksgiving though, but until then, here’s the trailer.

I can proudly announced that the design is pretty much done, save some last minute tweaking and touch up and it’s ready to go live…but you are still not going to see it for at least a few weeks. Why? because this project involves more than one design! Yes, the next new look of the blog will be a switchable design that let you choose the different themes I will have! naturally I need to make more than one theme for it to work. Most of the …

Memorial Day is this weekend so naturally, it’s Fleet Week where cute men from the Navy, Marine, etc. will be swamping Manhattan. It also means all the men in Chelsea and girls in any bars will be drooling at the mens in uniform as well. I for one just don’t get why the appeal of being with someone who will go away in a few days and has the possibly most dangerous job. But then again you just can’t deny that there is something about men in …

Once I go to those movie preview places I couldn’t stop looking~ lol~
Here’s another find — remember that French movie I mentioned 2 months ago with tons of people in it? Paris, Je T’Aime? It is a lovely film that is very charming but not without flaw. However it is still a good film that I would recommend people to see it. Afterall, how can you refuse a film about Paris and Love?? Well, it will be release in the theater soon and the trailer is now available, …

Finally the first full length teaser for the Golden Compass is upon us. An adaptation of one of my recent favorite books. I don’t know who cut the teaser cos it is kinda boring to me, then again it is still a long way until December so maybe they can’t show any other more exciting scenes yet because they are not finished. And invoking LOTR as selling point is just tacky, His Dark Materials Trilogy can stand on its own two feet! Nevertheless I am excited! …

Usually a park’s opening probably isn’t something that I care about, you know, there’s the sun and bugs and things that I would probably avoid. But the state park by the Williamsburg waterfront that retain the old rail track from the former terminal sounds kinda cool. I walked by the site last year thinking that it was going to open soon, but it wasn’t until now. It’s only opening for weekend for now. I think I might go check it out this weekend if the …
