Fourth of July re-cap

6 July 2007 417 views No Comment

Looks like the internet is back on and here to stay~ thank goodness!!
I didn’t have a chance to write about Fourth of July because of this internet outage, so here’s a re-cap:

Brunch with friends at Norma’s. Never been there before, I was expecting expensive and tiny portion – but surprise surprise! Price is still what I expected, but the portion is surprisingly big and filling. Definitely a good place for brunch. Afterward we just wandering around in midtown. We found another branch of Kate’s paperie though! It’s larger than the new Soho location, so I was very happy to know I have another place to do shopping~

iPhone time X2. First I went to 5th Ave Apple with friends since we are so close by to the store anyway. Everyone asked me why I am not buying one~I gave my explanation and pointed to the no iPhone available sign they have in the store. Afterward I head down to Union Sq to meet up with John and Phil for movie. Since John’s iPhone is all activated and working now, I was able to play with it for a considerable amount of time – well, let’s just say I was in Virgin megastore when I asked to play with it and when I am done I was sitting inside the theater and the 20 mins preview was almost over – i didn’t even remember how I got into the theater without looking away from the gorgeous screen of iPhone~ hehe~ Just like what a lot of people said, the more time you spent with it, the more in love you will be with the iPhone, it has the same magical effect as the iPod or any Apple product. I am not sure how I am able to resist buying one – oh right, it was sold out everywhere! thank goodness! I should block the iPhone availability check page otherwise when Apple re-stock, there’s no way to tell where I will be~

After the movie, the time was right in the middle of the fireworks. I honestly forgot about it, so when the thunder like sound echoed through the streets, I was totally in shock thinking what is that??? until Phil said it was the fireworks~ lol~ We headed to Yakiniku West for some awesome filet mignon! it was soooooo soft! even though it was a late dinner, but definitely a tasty one.

With great food for both meals and iPhone and a movie, this Fourth of July even though did any “traditional” events like outdoor BBQ or firework, but i believe it’s a lot more satisfied this way.
