Apple’s ditching of G4 has already begun. I got iLife’08 and iWork’08 today. To my surprise when I install it on my Powerbook, i got a message saying that iMovie’08 will be not installed because it require either Mac with intel inside or PowerPC G5. Luckily I have my intel iMac, otherwise i would be quite pissed since it really wasn’t well advertise that part of the iLife suite is now G4 incompatible.

I knew Apple will stop supporting G4 sooner or later, but I didn’t know the process started this soon. My Powerbook isn’t even 3 years old yet. By the time iLife’09 come out in another year, I bet there will be more apps that doesn’t work on G4…that’s the fact of iLife I suppose~

I’ll report more on my experience with the two new suites later, but so far I am loving Keynote’s new text effects, especially the one called flame and sparkle! Seriously, where did they get the idea from? a gay bar? lol
