Brooklyn Store Front update

Now that the third New York Apple Store in Meat Packing District is officially under construction, rumor has it that Apple is looking for the first Brooklyn location!! With candidates includes Red Hook, Smith Street, Dumbo, Downtown Brooklyn, and Williamsburg. Here’s my take: Apple seems to choose location by the following criteria:
1) Hip and trendy area – like Soho and Meat Packing District
2) Touristy shopping area with lots of foot traffic – 5th Ave
3) Stores are big compared to the Apple Stores in the mall around the country.

So what’s my verdict?
Red Hook – criteria#1 nope, criteria#2 nope, criteria#3 yes. Granted Ikea is moving in, but seriously no one is going to wander into this neighborhood regularly, not to mention it’s so far away from the subway.
Smith Street – #1 kinda but really not so much, #2 foot traffic is yes, #3 stores are tiny here.
Dumbo – #1 Yes, #2 Yes, #3 Yes
Downtown Brooklyn – #1 hell no! #2 foot traffic yes, but the area is kinda ghetto #3 yes – maybe it can be right next to Target – Yeah, if Apple abandoned considering 34th street location because it’s not trendy enough, i doubt they will choose Downtown Brooklyn.
Williamsburg – #1 A giant big yes! #2 Totally yes, just look at all the lost people from the city all the time! #3 Yes, huge space! #4 It’s close to where i live!!! hehehe!!

In conclusion, I think Apple is going choose between Dumbo and Williamsburg~ My vote would be on Willy! :)

Another news: Williamsburg is getting a Bowling alley~ A retro looking Bowling alley called the Gutter~ It looks kinda cool~ haven’t bowling for a while – might try the place out if i found someone to go with~

I saw a new Soup place called Soupman on Greenpoint Ave and a new candy store on Bedford~ yum! soup and candy!
