Park(ing) Day is a day that people take back some of the parking space on the street and convert it into a well, Park! It’s an interesting concept and event that is popular in Europe and the West Coast and finally it reaches New York this year. (Last year there was one parking slot, this year there’s a dozen across 5 borough) Put the Park back in Parking as people said~ (seriously why parking is call parking? it doesn’t involve a park!) When I first heard about it, i really didn’t get the point, but once it’s here, I get it. And I think it’s actually a natural fit for New York as green relaxing space is hard to come by, and it’s just fun~ Look at the smile on people’s face~ Watch the video and you’ll know what I am talking about.
