The non-attending of OHNY
First year I found out about Open House New York, I was too late and couldn’t go, last year not only I went all over town for it but I also drag my friend to go with me, this year though, I skipped completely. Not that it lost its appeal, it will always appeal to the inner urban explorer in me. It’s just the timing of this year is just not that great. It landed on a weekend after two hectic weeks at work where I was beyond exhausted, it’s also on one of the weekend that I celebrate my birthday. The only thing I wanted to do for the weekend was party and sleep, not walking around town~ (Seriously! I spent more time sleeping this long weekend than doing anything else~)
Now that the weekend is over, pictures started to come in from the people who did go on various tours of OHNY. The one that I am interested in the most is the pictures of the soon-to-be-open Highline. What can I say? it’s a mystery in the sky since it’s high up there and none of us can see how the construction of this park in the sky is going. It supposed to open next Fall (at least part of it), the pictures showed that it has a long way to go, but according to the post it is still on schedule, let’s hope it stays that way.
Next year’s OHNY better lands on a more suitable weekend for me~
