That’s not the Union Square I know!

Disaster movies loved to target New York City because it is full of iconic buildings and monuments. But over the years, they pretty much “destroyed” all the famous one on screen. There’re not much recognizable ones left that can provide the same ciematic thrills anymore. Just look at the promotional posters of “I am Legand” a futuristic disaster/zombie movie coming in December. All they left to destroy/ruin/dirty up is Union Square. Seriously when the most exciting shot was the abandoned Whole Foods!! That is just sad! But in any case, I still like the post-apocalyptic look of an area that I spent a huge amount of time in. Reminds me of the book I still planning to read – The World Without Us – eventually I’ll buy it from the book store.
