My Adoption Rate

I am sure by now you have heard that Apple announced some new toys today.  I am not gonna go into details of what they are, but will predict when will you see these new toys appeared around me.

Steve announced 5 major things during his keynote in Macworld, so here goes:
1) iPhone software update: downloaded it today!
- GPS-like location on map? awesome! it works like magic and pinpoint my right at the intersection of where i live! totally accurate!
- home screen and web clips? love it, so much easier to access my twitter status and look at google reader!
- multiple SMS? finally, it would be a lot easier for New Years Eve and X’mas!
- lyric display, chapter and movie option? Thank goodness I missed my lyric display ever since the iPhone become my only mobile listening device! now I can sing along with actual accurated words again.  As of chapter and movie options, haven’t try yet.
2) iTunes Movie Rentals: not a chance!
- I have a way better system because of my current job, so no thanks!
3) Apple TV Take 2: not unless I move to my own apartment and buy a big ass HDTV!
- not much to say here, my 24″ iMac is bigger than my TV, you go figure out if I need this gadget right now~
4) Time Capsule: by Thanksgiving Black Friday!
- I just bought a 1TB external hard drive! damn! o well, so maybe not right now, but I have been thinking for a while to update my network to 802.11n, and that wireless painless backup would work much better than my current 25 days and still not plug the external HD to my powerbook backup plan~ So eventually, maybe by thanksgiving it will be cheaper~
5) Macbook Air: I am drooling but I will probably wait til rev B!
- The Applecare of my old Powerbook will expire in a month, so plans of my next laptop is bound to come up.  I am not gonna have a major expensive purchase like this for now, not to mention a first-gen product with so many new things Apple is trying for it? yeah, I am not stupid! I am going to wait, probably by next year when rev B come out when the HD will be bigger, all the bugs are gone and the price point move down a notch.
