My hunt for camera

18 January 2008 373 views 2 Comments

Ever since I found out about the sales that is going on in CompUSA because of its closing, I have been checking their location in midtown near I work almost everyday. There’s one thing I wanted to pick up. A gadget that I haven’t upgrade for the longest time – my camera! I got my Sony Cybershot T33 back in Jan. of 2005, so it’s now extremely old! I have been eyeing the new T200 touch screen 8.1 megapixel 5X zoom camera for a while, so when I spotted it in the store, I was determined to use this opportunity to pick it up cheaper than regular price. I keep waiting until it is 80 dollars less than the regular price. It hits me that maybe if I wait longer they might sold out, especially seeing the camera in the showcase disappearing one after one everyday. I decided I should buy it and it was too late, both black and silver model are sold out except red. I don’t mind haven’t red in my wardrobe but a bright red camera is a little bit too much for me! I was disappointed until my friend reminded me that maybe the other location still has stock!

I rushed over to another location, only to find out that it also sold out every color except red. I was disappointed but o well, maybe it’s not meant to be. I was walking toward the exit when I walked pass the cabinet of ipods, something caught my eyes – the price! it’s more than $50 cheaper for the 160GB iPod Classic – the replacement I have been waiting for even since my last ipod’s tragic death back in September! I have not buy it because I do have an iPhone to hold me over, but every day I missed the huge storage and the ready access of my entire library in my palm! I repeatedly complain about it. To see it in a bargain price (hey, Apple product RARELY go on sale, the prices are very uniform across the continent!), I figure it’s fate that I wasn’t able to get the camera in both locations of the store! and if I didn’t come over to this second location I would never see the iPods here (the other one has no stock of iPods at all). Realizing I can’t fight fate and the iPod was calling to me in the display case. I stepped up and ask the clerk in the store to get me the iPod.

This is the story of how I get my 160GB iPod Classic!

    Three things:

    1) WhoTF cares what color your camera is?

    2) I’ve never once seen you use a camera other than the one in whatever cell phone you had.

    3) I have a better use for your new iPod. Instead of using it for yourself (because you already have like 90 iPods) you should give it to me because I JUST LOST MY iPOD IN A CAB AND IT’S THE WORST NIGHT OF MY LIFE AND I ALSO LOST THE BRAND NEW $100 EARPHONES I GOT! It was zipped securely in my pocket when I got in the cab. I felt it. When I got out, it was gone. I realized it IMMEDIATELY, but the car was already on its way down the road. I’m so mad!

But, thankfully, it’s just an iPod and it’s replaceable. My mom taught me not to get upset over stuff like this. When my first iPod was stolen, I barely cared, and it it weren’t for the extra beer I had before leaving the bar, I wouldn’t care about this either.

Though I AM a little mad that I have to spend the money for a new one when I’d much rather use it for other things.

Whenever I am with you there’s only the two of us! Unless you want to be my model, why would I bring my camera around? Plus, you’ve seen me using my camera, u r just drunk right now. It appears every year during big gatherings like my birthdays and holidays, or whenever I have my quarter break and walk around the city by myself!

That really sucks, I am sorry~ Well, Compusa has it on sale, so if you want to pick one up cheaper than the regular price, head over there and do it, they might have earphones too.

In the mean time I can share my ipod with you whenever we are together…
