Eason Chan’s concert
Even though I have been to a fair number of concerts, this is actually my first ever Cantonese concert! so I was very excited, not to mention Eason’s friends with Miriam. I kinda feel like I am one step closer to see Miriam in concert~
The concert was in Mohegan Sun Casino in Conn., the same place I went to last year to see Leehom Wang’s concert. Since this time we are driving instead of waiting for those damn slow bus, it felt a lot faster even if it’s two hours each way. It is the weekend of Chinese New Year as well, so obviously the place was filled with Chinese. The loud lion dance was also in full force as well, it even dance into the concert arena which to me is a little strange, but whatever – even though the concert did start 20 mins later than it suppose to.
Because this is part of a concert series continued from Hong Kong, so I kinda have an idea of what songs he would be singing and what costumes he would be wearing, but it still amazes me (the costumes and the music choice). He first come out in white literally like a bride, then have 6 or 7 costumes change that is not just merely switching jackets. I once again forgot to bring my camera (seems like it become a habit), but luckily I can still use pictures from others. Just look at the pictures, that are quite “alternative” style – especially the one i would called the kimono rain coat! It comes with a hood too~ haha~ I liked the “King of Karaoke” Tee! it’s just the words on his tee that was made out of mirrors but man when the spotlight was on him, the reflective effect is amazing~
As for his music, it’s hard to argue he is defacto number one singer of this generation in Hong Kong right now. I don’t even have to say more, I would have like him to sing some more of his classic songs, but the current rundown is still very satisfying. I know it’s much shorter in length compared to the original concert in Hong Kong, but to have just a chance to see him in concert, I have no complains.
