I take the G train up to Long Island City everyday to transfer to the 7 train to Grand Central. The transfer is an out-of-system metrocard transfer from the underground Court Square Station to the elevated 45th Rd – Court House Square Station above ground. It is not as convenient as other regular transfer where you never have to walk out the turnstile, but at least it isn’t too far away and it is still a transfer.
