Best Gift Ever
I never own any game console or handhelds, and I was never a hardcore gamer. My favorites are non-mainstream games or niche like Simcity and Civilizations and such that they are better on a computer. But do I want one? oh yeah, especially everytime my parents let my brother to have yet another gaming machine~ Another thing is as silly as it sound, I love Pokemon, i think they are adorable! And yet I just never bought any gaming machine myself. I never imagine I would have one.
Imagine my surprise when Scott bought me a Nintendo DS as my birthday gift! Not just the surprise of getting a gift of this magnitude, but also the surprise of the idea of actually owning a dedicated gaming machine! I was shock and speechless. This year’s birthday wasn’t the best in any sense. And this gift is more than make up for it. It’s not the value of the gift itself but the reason of giving the gift that touches me. Friends that got gifts from me knows that I am very particular with it~ Every time to buy a gift I often did a careful analysis of what he/she like, what he/she need, and what he/she want. I wouldn’t buy a gift if it doesn’t mean anything, I also wouldn’t buy any gift if I don’t even desire it myself~ I just put so so much thought into gifts. So when it comes to receiving gifts, honestly i don’t expect much from anyone. Because I know no one will ever be as crazy as me to put so much thought into just gifts.
When I was listening to the explanation of why giving me such a gift, I was just touched that what I was ranting everyday about my mundane life actually has a good listener. Someone actually put thoughts on what’s going on in my life and what kind of gift would cheer me up.
To have someone so considerate of me, is the best gift ever.
(Now I read this again it sound oh so cheesy, but i am still posting this to show my deep appreciation~)
