Domino Sugar

19 October 2008 752 views No Comment

Today Domino Sugar Factory in Williamsburg open to the public for the first time.  Well, the site is open, but you can’t get inside the buildings.  But still, it is a rare chance to explore this section of Williamsburg waterfront.  I guess the developer open it up to gain community support for its eventual conversion to, you guess it right, a condo~  The site itself is huge and it will be interesting how they can make it into a condo without tearing down the structure~ (they are not allowed to, it’s landmarked~)

Anyway, I took some pictures, it has that kind of abandon industrial charm that I found fascinating.
