Greenpoint is a main connector between Brooklyn and Queens, so naturally any cross-borough events must pass by here.  No matter if it’s the formal Five Boroughs Bike Tour or the wacky Idiotarod race, and of course, the New York City Marathon.  Last year the main attention was on the one celebrity who was running – Katie Holmes.  This year, the celebrity attention should be on the hot hot hot recently married to Scarlett Johansson Mr. Ryan Reynolds!  He even got a very funny piece of article talking about what he thought of Marathon when he saw it a couple years ago – all he remembered was seeing some guys with bleeding nipples! Therefore he’s asking people to bring “a smile, automated defibrillator, or a fresh set of nipples.”  In any case, this just make this sport event of the city all too interesting~ I’ll be sure to get up early to watch him, er, i mean watch the Marathon~ :p
