Mraz at Radio City Music Hall

I went to Jason Mraz’s concert yesterday night at Radio City Music Hall.  Just like his concert 3 years ago, he can just sing any notes, super high or crazy low, the range is ridiculous~  He sang most of the songs from his new album, but of course there’s also some of his classics like The Remedy and You and I Both, etc.  He also did some Impromptu cover songs like the Happy Days (yes, the theme song!) His live performance is always fun to see because the music arrangement is always different than the album version, and his funny impromptu lyric right on the spot is always entertaining.  Not to mention he’s just so damn cute even with just a plain tee and a hat~~

His opening act is not some unknown but Lisa Hannigan, the female voice of most of Damien Rice’s songs until last year~  I love her voice and it’s awesome to know that she’s now independent and is releasing her own album.  Anyway with her as the opening act it feels like I got two concerts at one, totally cool~ (unlike other concert where the opening act is some unknown where u just keep on wondering who the heck is this?) By the way she’s using a very weird instrument on the stage, some kind of a keyboard but with the back “door” opening and close? please excuse my lack of musical knowledge, someone please tell me what is that?

The venue is the fame Radio City Music Hall, and yes this is a concert with seats! Although half the time most people are standing anyway, so there’s no way to see the concert without standing! (Not something I enjoyed, I would rather sit, but o well, it’s fine, It’s Jason, i ain’t complaining~~)

(as always, my OLD camera can’t tale any good shot of the concert, just one clear one! so I “borrowed” some from the following flickr people: emily_rose, angelcohn, and Jax15.) (BTW, there’s also video!)
