How scary it is that the fame National Debt Clock Sign in Midtown isn’t big enough to keep track of our national debt!?  It doesn’t have enough digits because our national debt has zoom passed $10 trillion!! The sign needs a 14th digit!!  Currently it’s borrowing the space of the digital dollar sign until they add another digit in.  

I remember way back, before I actually live in New York. I was visiting as a tourist when I was 11.  I saw that sign and it left a big impression of how screw up this place is.  Over the years under Clinton administration, there’s surplus every year and eventually the clock stop counting because there’s no point anymore.  Coincidentally New York was better than ever and I fell in love with the City.  Then 2 years into the Bush administration, the clock was back on again and getting bigger than ever (the number of course!)

How depressing is that?? given our current crisis, I can’t imagine how many more digits will the clock needs if we give the Republican another 4 years~

BTW, the clock is located on Sixth Avenue and 44th street.
