Where’s my stats?

23 October 2008 978 views No Comment

My WordPress.com Stats plugin stopped keep tracking of statistics about a week ago.  I didn’t know what was the problem and I thought the issue must be at wordpress.com’s end.  But apparently I somehow missing a piece of code at my footer.  In order for the plugin to work, you need to make sure that footer.php file contains this line before </body> tag:

<?php wp_footer(); ?>

Hopefully this help others who encountered the same problem.

Once my plugin started working again, I immediately saw that someone linked to my post of my visit to the Domino Sugar Factory.  Now that’s exciting, cos it’s the first time since this blog made the move to the current address!!  Anyway, I just assume someone was referring to the pictures I took that day, who knew there was also a nice comment! Here I quoted straight from his blog: “Photo courtesy the very astute and fashionable blogger Harry Podder and the Big Apple, who’s got a dozen really nice pics of today’s scene at his blog, which also has many other posts that make for interesting reading.” You hear that? someone said I am very astute and fashionable and interesting! hehehe~~~ Anyway, so thank you Richard of Dumbo Books of Brooklyn for giving me credit for my picture and the nice comment~~
