The evolution of this blog’s theme continues with a slight adjustment of the color scheme. It’s getting a bit darker with the change of background and navigation and bottom bars. The idea is to make the contents in the middle “pop” out a bit more!
In addition, since this coming week I will have to travel to Los Angeles for my best friend’s wedding. To commemorate such an occasion, for a limited time I will run 4 special edition headers in place of the regular ones. It’s also my way of saying that I …

Remember how I was complaining about Court Square Station? well, turns out it is true that the closing of staircases are all part of the plan to construct a direct transfer between the G and the 7 line. According to the poster, there will be two escalators, a staircase and an elevator plus a street level connecting staircase all in the package as the final product. Sure in the mean time it’s inconvenient, but given the benefit of the end result, all I can say is oh well~ My only question …

Madagascar was one of those stories where the sidekicks are more fun to watch than the leads. Madagascar 2 Escape 2 Africa continued that tradition, although because of the change in setting and dynamic, give the leads more interesting things to do (but then again it also created even more logical problems~)
Now who doesn’t love the crazy psychotic penguins from the first movie? they are just too much fun. In the sequel, they are back and even more crazier than ever, from kidnapping the Dreamworks logo fishing kid on the …

The movie version of Twilight isn’t perfect, but seeing what you read and the characters you loved come alive on screen outweighed any silly dialogues and laughable moments. First of all Kristen Stewart as Bella is perfect casting. She is just natural as Bella, her stubbornness, her subtle beauty, it’s all there. Even all the hilarious (to me) accident-prone moments come alive. But more importantly her narration bridged the voice of the book into the movie.
The casting of this movie is pretty fantastic cos every single characters looked extremely closed to what I …

I knew it! I know it’s not my illusion that it seems like I have seen more Europeans in Williamsburg than before! Now New York Times back me up saying that Williamsburg is going through a Europeanization now that newly arrived starving artists and musicians can no longer afford the neighborhood! The Europeans like the neighborhood because it’s still some what cheaper than the City, the abundant of newly built condos with larger square footage than Manhattan, the cafes and it’s artistic vibe that remind many of them neighborhoods back …

Building something from the ground up is difficult, but adapting someone else’s work and make it into your own is not a easy task either. I am talking about blog themes. It’s been more than a month since I launched version 4.0 with a new theme on a new platform. So far I am extremely happy about the result. Of course nothing is perfect, I am constantly trying to improve it.
Since the launch about a month ago, one area I have been trying to improve is the navigation of the …

There is only one day in an entire year that Apple products go on sale – that is the Friday after Thanksgiving! Since it’s coming up in a week, therefore I am planning what should I do on that day. First of all there isn’t any major products from Apple that I have in sight, so for now I will be focusing on accessories again. My number one target is still their new in-ear headphone with remote. However, a quick look at their online store it is still listed as “coming soon” …

Even though the film was pushed back to next July from what should have been a mere 6 days from now!!! (DAMN it!!) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince still keeping the spotlight by revealing new footage little by little. A brand new trailer is upon us, with scenes about the potion class and when the Death Eater attacks! For the ones who read book 6, I got goosebumps just by seeing a glimpse of the epic ending! Let’s start counting to next July!
There’s also another new trailer for another …

It’s gonna happen sooner or later, a show that I like get the axe! This season the network suits are already “nice” enough not to make decision immediately after the rating comes in the first week or so~ Nevertheless, rumor has it that the shows on the chopping block are Pushing Daisies and Lipstick Jungle!! Two shows that I like, both has a leading man that I ran into on the street in the past!! The idea of not seeing cutie Lee Pace and hottie Robert Buckley on TV is …
