Watching one of the tvb musician anniversary show / Halloween costume party (翡翠歌星賀台慶 2008) makes me realize that many of my idols share some common interests with me (btw this has nothing to do with the show I just mention, it’s just where my train of thought begin~)  For example, one of my favorite chinese artist Leo Ku is as geeky as me, just look at him in the show, of all the costume he can wear, he chooses my other identity Harry Potter!!! Look at how adorable he is! he is such a kid even when he’s approaching 35! 

Then there’s Miriam Yeung, another of my favorite artist, she’s obsess with purple and her favorite movie is Amelie, just like me.  Then there’s Zach Braff, my favorite geek actor on TV.  We have common music taste, I either already listened to all those mellow alternative rock stuff that he mentioned in his blog and know about it way before it’s on his show and movies.  Then there’s Steve Jobs, what can I say, we both love Apple! LOL :p

P.S. Now then I mentioned it, o well, I guess I will talk about the show a bit! through out the years, it’s always one of the worst variety show of tvb (most of tvb’s variety shows are crap already, so that said something~) To my surprise, this year this show suddenly become incredible interesting in a way that it’s actually good and fun!  I guess because the format is different, it’s more of a live music concert/dance party than a “show”, and with the focus on the late 80s-90s music.  Not to mention the appearance and relying on the classic singers, bands, and group (NOT my parent’s generation of classic singers, but my type of late twentysomething generation classics)~ So it’s quite enjoyable, it’s no longer a show focus on artists that are so new that I don’t even know they exists, but a return of familiar artists and songs~ It’s a show that is actually “lively” with audience standing up singing and dancing and having fun, a rare thing to witness in pretty much all the low quality tvb variety shows~
