2008, the year of change. It’s not a political catchphrase, it really applies to me. Overall it was a fantastic year! I achieved what I set out to do and everything seems to fall into the right places…

I ordered the limited edition of the Tales of Beedle the Bard like ages ago – seriously, it was like back at the days of my last job. Anyway, it arrived on December 4th, the day that I went to LA. It was sent to my friend’s house and after I come back, I still hadn’t have a chance to get the book because someone was being forgetful! I didn’t get it until the day of the Harry Potter Movie Marathon – a very fitting occasion to receive it, but it also …

Yesterday I went to a Harry Potter movies marathon at the legendary Ziegfeld Theatre in midtown. In the words of Ron Weasley, it’s bloody brilliant and yet completely mental! Yeah, 15 hours in a theater, it’s not for everyone~ Lack of proper meals for a whole day, cram in a seat with not much leg room, it’s even worse than if you are flying coach on a cross-pacific flight! But in the end, it’s all worth it~~ It’s not every day that they all showing on the big …

The last few months I saw a revival gaming experience in my life, from on the desktop the Europa Universalis III and Spore, to PS3 the Little Big Planet, to the games on iPhone, and then Pokemon on NDS. Pokemon and the NDS pretty much just take over once they arrived in my hands. It’s my default game and I hardly plays the other games. However, this situation may be changing since as it gets closer to the holidays, the drought of good quality or brand-name iPhone games finally ended, many …

(kinda rush, isn’t it? they better not screw it up by rushing it out the door~) Now the question is, will the existing cast stays the same and who will play the new characters?…

If Twilight is a teenage girl’s fantasy, then Were the World Mine is a gay boy’s dream come true! Were the World Mine is an indie gay musical movie that is inspired by William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It charmed me away immediately just by the preview I saw on Apple. And I really like it a lot after seeing the actual movie. The plot is simple, a gay teen named Timothy use a love potion described in Shakespeare’s play and turn his small close-minded town …

There was a side-effect from my trip to LA… that I am now hooked on Facebook way after everyone else did like years ago. But only on the iPhone though, I still almost never go onto the Facebook site. It’s only the well designed iPhone app that I am addicted to. The Facebook app on iPhone is very streamline and it loaded very quickly even on EDGE, it has all the most popular functions from posting status to the wall to the chat to tagging pictures to …

If you are looking for action or big sequence of destructions of your favorite landmarks, you probably would be disappointed at The Day the Earth Stood Still. It’s more of a thought provoking movie. I was impressed with the new idea that this movie presented in the sci-fi genre even if this is a remake – just look at the alien’s traveling aircraft is finally not a flying saucer but a sphere (granted Terminator travels in a sphere too, but they are not aliens), then there’s the bio …
