Unboxing Beedle the Bard
I ordered the limited edition of the Tales of Beedle the Bard like ages ago – seriously, it was like back at the days of my last job. Anyway, it arrived on December 4th, the day that I went to LA. It was sent to my friend’s house and after I come back, I still hadn’t have a chance to get the book because someone was being forgetful! I didn’t get it until the day of the Harry Potter Movie Marathon – a very fitting occasion to receive it, but it also means that I didn’t have a chance to open it at all, until now.
It comes in a special Amazon box with the warning on the box “ATTENTION MUGGLES – DO NOT DELIVER OR OPEN BEFORE DECEMBER 4″~ Muggles~ hahaha~ Inside is a gigantic, very well-made classical hardcover book – which turn out to be just a case! Open it you will get the special illustrations inserts, with a velvet bag that holds the real Tales of Beedle the Bard. The book is so not your regular paperback copy you see on the shelves in the bookstores. It’s well crafted with metal skull, engraving and a lock. The cover is made out of leather. On the pages you will find J.K.’s handwriting printed, plus Dumbledore’s commentary on the stories! It’s an amazing collector’s item!! My perfect Christmas gift to myself!
