Scrubs Season 8

zach_braffThe 8th season of Scrubs is different than before. The most obvious different is that the show is on another network, as evidence by JD in episode one pointing to the lower right corner where the network logo would be and said “hmm, that’s new!” The show is also flooded with a group of new interns to showcase how far has the main cast have grown. Another change is JD’s new and improved body! it’s not a doughy physique like one or two seasons before anymore~ Looks like Zach Braff has been to the gym lately~ :) The biggest change though is the tone, it’s more subtle and less crazy. In addition, the show’s nicely balancing act with medical drama with comedy and life lesson is back. Remember those early well-rounded touching episodes? like the ones with the dying Brendan Fraser? or the sweet old lady that passed away in season 1? Bill Lawrence really tune the show’s formula back to it’s prime back in season 1-4.

Episode 5 of this season features Sesame Street puppets in all of JD’s fantasy. It’s fricking awesome to pair the Janitor with Oscar from Sesame Street!!! Janitor and the puppet that lives inside a garbage can – how perfect is that? Other funny bits included x-rayed a puppet and find out there’s a hand inside and JD asked what is Elmo – a seal? a question that i would have asked myself! lol~ However, the best transplant from Sesame street is not the puppets but the theme song – listen to Joshua Radin’s haunting rendition of the Sesame Street Theme below. Josh, similar to Rachael Yamagata, has the uncanny ability to turn any song into a weeping sobfest for everyone!
