I don’t know why but this Valentine’s Day seems to affect me more than usual.  So to counter that, I use the oldest solution in the book – buying myself a gift! I already have quite a few of items I want, but none of them I can get my hands on instantly.  So I went downstairs to my trusted boutique Alter and picked something out that can wear it immediately!  I got this really awesome Cheap Monday Hector Check shirt that not only is hooded but has this really cool front piece in place …

Ry, the new friend I get to know from Comic Con last week posted about what she really want but can’t afford right now. For me, compared to what I really want in life, things I can buy are pretty easy to get without too much stress. There’s enough things to stress in life already, so if there are things u want that you can get by dropping some money, I say go ahead!
We all know I am such a geek that I have a thing for robots, so here …

Continuing my attempt to catch up on my TV shows, the latest one that I finished catching up is Brothers & Sisters.  The first thought I have is, OMG!!! How cute is the new additional to the show, the long lost son Ryan!!! I know I know, I am vain and only notice the pretty boys, but it’s not my fault that this show keep on giving us pretty boys one after another!  Okay, so I looked him up, the actor’s name is Luke Grimes.  I think he looks like …

Ever since Scott introduced me to Neil Gaiman, every time there’s a movie based on his work, I would definitely go see it.  Coraline is one of them and I have to say it’s the best so far.  Nei’s work is always dark, sometimes I wonder if him and Tim Burton are long lost brothers.  Coraline is a stop-motion picture that has a dark story.  The most famous stop-motion picture that has a dark story was coincidentally Tim Burton’s the Nightmare Before Christmas.  Comparison is inevitable and I think Coraline won …

I finally caught up with all the episodes of Ugly Betty. I really like the direction of this season where YETI and the roommate situation brought Betty closer with Mark and Amanda. Aside from the ruthless teasing of Betty’s fashion sense, what I like even more is the occasional help from Mark and Amanda to Betty. With their relationships getting closer, those occasional help occurred more often and they showed a more human side of Mark and Amanda which really rounded out their characters. I also like …

I didn’t buy anything in Comic Con, not because there was nothing that I wanted but because of some recent finance stress.  There is something that I regard didn’t pick up though.  I must have seen this artists’ work somewhere before, most likely on the web or son some tees or maybe in kid robot? I just love the creatures this artist Andrew Bell created.  They are quirky and weird and adorable at the same time! So when I passed by the Dumbrella booth in Comic Con, I instantly recognized the creatures! …

New York »

I was never really aware of the New York City Comic Con until this year, maybe because I didn’t really buy any comic at all until Buffy and Angel continued their story on comic, or the fact that there’s more TV/movies presented in NYCC this year than ever before.  So this weekend I went to Comic Con and what an experience it was!  You got all kind of people dressing up in all kind of characters, you got your celebrity sighting (Milo Ventimiglia was in the house! He was interviewed …
