Rumor-fest for the Twilight movies
Is it just me or the Twilight movies has more buzz and rumors than a superhero film? With the second movie scheduled to be release this coming November, they really have to finish pre-production and start shooting~ But the casting rumors keep on flying in, from Vanessa Hudgens to Dakota Fanning, from Lindsay Lohan to Hilary Duff, even Sir Ian McKellan and Alan Rickman, rumors just flying everywhere and no one know which one can be confirm! Then comes the rumor that even Madonna will get involved! I mean really? I don’t recall there is a character for a middle aged woman in New Moon, unless it’s Sue Clearwater, but she’s a native indian old woman! Madonna? i mean comeon! it would have been a higher possibility that she might get involved in the soundtrack, but acting in the film? I highly doubt that.
One would think there couldn’t be a bigger rumor after the Madonna bit…..oh you are wrong! The third film in the series, Eclipse just got a release date and it’s June 30, 2010, a merely 7 months after the release of New Moon! They are not shooting the two sequels back-to-back, so when they start the production of Eclipse, director Chris Weitz will still be busy working on the post-production of the second film – that means Eclipse will not be directed by him but by someone else! And that’s where the rumors come from – Drew Barrymore might be directing Eclipse!!! Has she even directed any movies at all? Apparently she just did and it hasn’t even be release yet! Now I like Drew and think she’s adorable and fun, but as a director…i dunno about that~ If we can see her directorial debut first, then I can see what kind of style she has and if it’s a good fit or not. But since we can’t, I am having doubt about this.
Seriously though, they should really settle down and start shooting, it’s almost March already!!
