Andy Hallett, best known to us Buffy fans as Lorne, of the Deathwok Clan, passed away last Sunday at the age of 33. He was battling heart disease in the past few years.
I was so sad when I heard the news! Lorne was such an awesome character that brought so much joy into Angel, which by all mean was not really a happy show! So much death and destruction! he was a spotlight, or a disco ball in that dark world! Even though Lorne was a demon, well, he didn’t …

With all the talks of stimulus money from the Federal, We have yet to hear anything that benefit New York City directly. Sure the governor unveiled how the State is going to use the money alloted to New York State, but all the projects he announced are for upstate only. Coupled that with last week’s event where the State legislative refused to pass any resolution to aid MTA – which led to MTA passed the doomsday budget which will kill off many subway and bus service most needed in addition …

Novels based on TV series are usually not what I would read cos no matter how good they are, they usually not consider to be really part of the TV series’ timeline or reality. Most of the time it might contradict with the storyline if the series is on-going. However, I come across this book in the store – Doctor Who: The Story of Martha. I wasn’t gonna pick it up, especially Doctor Who is still an on-going series that what ever happened in this book, the chances that the TV series …

Walked by Bond Street today and I took some pictures of the unique looking condos there. There is this one that is green and bronze building with crazy art surrounding the front that it’s hard to see where’s the entrance. I guess usability can be push aside if it look this cool! Then there’s the one with weird windows that looks like “noses”. Both buildings look kinda deserted, maybe it’s the time of day or maybe no one bought any units~ Then I saw the …

The dream I had with two people in an empty factory with a vampire underneath and zombies surrounding the building got me thinking real hard about this plot. It is such a good one! The vampire will need to protect them because he will need their blood. How did my dream come up with that? I think I heard about a premise of vampires protecting human from zombies a long time ago, it must have been a book or a movie or something. I did some search …

I always have bizarre dreams that are as long and detailed as movies, but lately they are more like a short scenes that are incomplete stories instead. I wasn’t going to write them down, but many of them are so vivid that I remembered them for days or even weeks. So why not write them down right? I am constantly fascinated and entertained by them. I mean I talk to many people and no one has bizarre sci-fi fantasy dreams as frequently as I do, I think there must be a purpose some how. …

March was a busy month for Apple, it released new Mac Pro, iMac and Mac Mini; it release a brand new iPod Shuffle; it released the beta of iPhone software 3.0; it allowed movies to be bought or rent in HD on the iTunes Store; it updated iTunes, Front Row, Airport Extreme & Time Capsule, and iLife. Not to mention this March Madness was actually started the last week of February when Apple released Safari 4 beta and update to Apple TV. It is kinda like what else …

A few months ago I found out that there are two concerts coming up at the same time on March 7, both from artists that I really like – Lisa Hannigan at the Highline Ballroom and the Bird and the Bee at Carnegie Hall. It was such a tough choice for me because I would love to go to both. Eventually I settled on the Bird and the Bee because of two reasons: 1) I saw a little bit of Lisa Hannigan when she was opening for Jason …

Even though I did watch the first chapter of the motion comic on iTunes before I go to the movies. I still didn’t know what to expect from the Watchmen since I didn’t read the original graphic novel. I was completely satisfied and amazed upon coming out of the theater. It made X-Men and most superheroes movies seem juvenile! There are just too many elements of the film that you can give praise for: the depth of the plot, the complexities of the character and how the story explore the flaws in superheroes and human …

Inkheart is one of the few books that the movie version is actually better. It is not because the movie is really good, it is because the movie gets the appeal of the concept, while the author of the book for some reason, don’t. The concept of the book is about someone who has the ability to read out characters from the books, bring them to live. The appeal as anyone can see, is characters from many books making a “guest appearance” here and how they affect the story. It’s …
