He’s Just Not That Into You
He’s Just Not That Into You doesn’t feel like a typical romantic comedy. It’s more of a cynical look at the dating scene and relationship but still have somewhat of a happy ending. The guys in the movies are all douche bags when we first meet them. A guy who just finished a date with a girl and immediately call another girl, a married man flirted with a girl at the supermarket, a guy who refused to marry his girlfriend of 7 years, a boss that slept with his employee and pretend nothing happened. But by the end of the movie, they all seems fine, good guys maybe with the exception of the married one. I guess because the movie showed that they are all douche bags only when they are not with the right person. When they meet the right guys, they all turn into sweet guys, well maybe with the exception with the married one, I just don’t like him no matter how charming Bradley Cooper is~
The movie has a huge cast that is very likable. I always like Ben, the two Jen and Drew, Justin is of course a bonus too~~ He’s just too adorable, even if at the beginning he acted a little douche~ The stand out in the movie is the relatively unknown Ginnifer Goodwin, her character Gigi connected everyone in the movie. She is just too cute with all her waiting by the phone, second guessing her decisions and analyzing everything her dates said. I am so her most of the time, so I completely understand and sympathize with her!
I have always like Ben Affleck, even during the whole J.Lo thing that pretty much killed his career. I am glad to see that he is as charming as ever in this movie, he is actually the most likable guy character in the movie. Seriously he need to work himself back on the screen more!
The only thing that I seriously don’t like in the movie is when they compared the difference between straight and gay signals. Cos if that’s how gay signal works, I am sorry, i didn’t get that memo, maybe that’s probably why I am still alone~
