The dream I had with two people in an empty factory with a vampire underneath and zombies surrounding the building got me thinking real hard about this plot. It is such a good one! The vampire will need to protect them because he will need their blood. How did my dream come up with that? I think I heard about a premise of vampires protecting human from zombies a long time ago, it must have been a book or a movie or something. I did some search and it turns out it was a premise of an online comic called “Last Blood” by Bobby Crosby. I was so excited and would thinking how could it would be if that scene in my dream was actually part of the comic! Sadly it wasn’t, but it’s close enough!

I am not really a comic book person despite what my coworkers think! (cos I always go to the comic book store across the street from my work! ha~) The two comics that I follow are Buffy and Angel, both continuation of TV shows. So reading Last Blood feels like I am venturing into something brand new! It is a four issues series and a second series just got started. I liked it even though it wasn’t what I expected how the plot would go when I first read about the premise, especially the origin of the zombie.  The story of Last Blood involves with a school teacher in a small town that got cut off from the rest of the world continue to teach the students in class to give them the town some normalcy, while the rest of the human world gone extinct.  As the zombies are closing in, the vampires come to their rescue and stand together they face their annihilation and discover the link between the two type of creatures and the town’s own history…

Too bad my writing skill sucks, and I would have no patience to actually do such a hard work. Otherwise it would be nice to expand on the scene from my dream and explore what will happen next. I would definitely take the story to another direction! It would have been fun to compare a fully formed story in my head to a professional comic book~ but until then, I would continue to read this pretty cool online comic~~
