Dream: Loop
I have a javascript problem that I didn’t know how to solve, so I decided to go to a science museum to get some inspiration. Walking around the museum, I come across a playground-like structure with slide, swing set, monkey bars etc. It is there where I realize I was being followed, but I couldn’t figure out where the follower was hiding. I climbed up to the top of the structure and looking around. But instead of discovering the location of my follower, I spotted a friend from afar, so I waived and signaled him to come over. When he reached the playground, I pretend to be concentrated on chatting with him but my entire mind was on spotting the follower. Soon after I heard a sound and I knew where the follower was hiding! I dived onto the enclosed slide and pushed my follower out from the other side! My friend watched in amazement as we found out that my follower was an aluminium balloon in human shape! My friend said, “Quick! we have to squeeze all the air out of him before he come back to life!” So we tried our best to squeeze the air out, but before we get to the head, the balloon wakes up and grabbed my face!
Everything went black and I wake up at the playground. Neither my friend nor the balloon was around. I got up, looked around, and yet again that sense of being followed or watched is here again! I climbed up to the top of the structure and looking around again. Deja vu! I spotted my friend from afar, I waived and signaled him to come over! I realized I was repeating what I did earlier but I figure maybe I can do better this time. So once again I pretended to be concentrated at talking to my friend, and at the moment I heard the noise I immediately slide down the slide and push the balloon person out! Before my friend told me to squeeze, I was already squeezing the balloon! I thought I was faster this time, but apparently not fast enough as the balloon wakes up and covered up my face again and everything went black!
I wake up alone at the playground and this time I know definitely I am stuck in a loop, just like the javascript problem I was trying to solve! So I repeated what I did and try to do it better this time around, long story short, I failed yet again because the balloon once again wake up before we could squeeze all the air out! I wake up again and again and again, no matter how prepared I was, I still wasn’t fast enough each time! I started to think I might be stuck in this loop forever. Feeling frustrated, I did something different this time, instead of squeezing the balloon, I picked up a paperclip on the ground instead, I twisted it and stabbed the balloon with it! instantly the balloon exploded! and along with it, the fabric of dimension literally torn apart! I saw the other side of this dimension and there I was trying to squeeze the air out of the balloon along with my friend! I was looking at the earlier instance of me! the “earlier me” heard the noise and looked back, at me! with us staring at each other not sure what is going on, the situation get worse! Instead of having a “hole” to see the other dimension, this side started to disappear into a white emptiness! I jumped to the “earlier dimension” on the other side, along with my friend. We rush passed our “earlier” versions and straight to a room close by! Realizing the white is devouring every space, our “earlier selves” run after us. We slammed the door before they reached the room!
The room was dark and we could feel the tremble from outside, I wasn’t sure how long afterward til we open the door again. There’s nothing outside, just white, plain white with nothing at all, except two figures standing, our “earlier selves” survived! the “earlier me” said to me, “it stopped!” and then he and the earlier version of my friend turned to dust.

This is probably one of the most “sci-fi” instead of “fantasy” kind of dream, (well, other than the robot ones! lol), the interesting thing is it somehow visualized the programming idea of a loop! Not sure what make it happened, it’s not like I watched Donnie Darko again recently~ :p
