It’s been two years since I have been using Twitter and now the mainstream finally discover it.  And I thought I was late to the game! Most people are still confuse of what exactly Twitter is and what is the use of it.  Most people are even downright rejective of it, the most used reasoning was “I don’t need to broadcast what i am doing every minute to the world!”  I think the misconception come directly from that tag line on Twitter “What Are You Doing?”  It is completely misleading …

Good Fairies of New York is a quirky, humorous novel that at the same time captures the sad social situation of New York City in the 70-80s period before the renaissance and the transformation of the 90s. That description is more serious than it sounds because what happens with the human’s New York is just the background, the real actions of the book are the various fairies of different ethic groups living (or visiting) the city!
First of all Martin Millar’s writing style is not for everyone. It’s like following …

Despite my dislike for Ben Stiller, the first Night at the Museum movie was surprisingly enjoyable. Maybe it’s because of the museum/history geek inside me or just that there’s so much going on that I can pretend Ben Stiller isn’t really there~ Fast forward to a second Museum movie, this time the setting is mainly at the Smithsonian in DC. I didn’t quite enjoy it this time around because the whole plot seems completely forced, everything happens because they need to make a sequel! I know I know, …

The High Line is set to open next month and looks like the wave of promotion has already begun! For people who don’t know about the High Line, it is a elevated freight rail track on the Far West Side that was abandoned since the 80s. Over the years plants and grass started to grow and it become a hidden garden in the sky that very few people have a chance to see. In 2006 a project was started to…

The Terminator Series, no matter how good the individual movie is, as a whole is still a mess due to the fact that time traveling is essential in the story and it’s getting harder and harder to explain what’s going on with each additional movie. Terminator Salvation smartly avoid sending anyone back in time, but it received the damaging end of the time traveling storyline of the series. Set in the future after Judgement Day where Skynet ruled humanity with their machines, with tiny pockets of resistance spread …

Angels & Demons is the sequel to the movie Da Vinci Code, but as a book, it was the prequel to the book Da Vinci Code.  Fans of the book series would no doubt annoyed by this arrangement, but the continuity between the stories is minimum, so it’s not a big deal to me.  Tom Hanks seems to be younger in this movie, it could be that he’s in a better shape or just simply a better hairstyle! There’s still big topic in this movie, this time around is about science …

Nowadays promotion means making silly viral videos, no matter if it’s for a movie, a tv show, a game or even an award show, they are do it because they know as long as the video is funny, people will spread it across facebook and twitter or their blogs.  I am doing exactly what the marketing people would like us to do, spread these videos! here are two, one is for the movie the Proposal and another one is for the MTV Movies Award.
We don’t need any explanation at why …

I was definitely in need of something silly and fun to lighten up the mood, and this video game music video does it for me! The tune is catchy, and it got cutey plant singing with lots and lots of zombies!!! Seriously you need to sing-a-long!

It’s from the newly released casual game Plants vs Zombies! It’s one of those tower defense game.  I downloaded the demo and it is addictive!  The animation is cute and the game play is fun.  I am considering buying the game even.  I hope they …

Judging from my stats of the blog, I know there are tons of Twilight fans out there.  So here is the hot new release of the teaser poster of New Moon!

Looks awesome! doesn’t it? I like the moodiness and the use of earthly color brown!  Not to mention the tension between Jacob and Edward! And that shirt that Edward was wearing? I love it! where can I buy that?

This is a shocker to everyone – when I was little, I did not like libraries at all! Maybe because back in the days Hong Kong’s libraries were inadequate or just simply libraries:population ratio was way too high, their collection was always wore out very badly, the books were often yellow and dirty.  I just hated the books in the libraries.  So even when I was very little, I already prefer bookstores than libraries.  I was used to have everything first handed and new.  Being the older brother made this preference even …
