Upon hearing the news regarding Rachelle Lefevre, who plays the evil vampire Victoria in the Twilight series, is being replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in the third movie, Eclipse.  My first reaction is not to believe the official story of a “schedule conflict,” and indeed the next day there are already words of war throwing between the actress and the studio.  My two cents is that this is not the first time Summit attempt to recast someone in their now blockbuster franchise!
Once upon a time when Twilight was this tiny …

gods need people to believe in them, to worship them to have powers, if they become irrelevant, they will fade away. The Greek gods are in that category. Their numbers dwindled. Their power diminished. Sometimes even the evil demons are more powerful than them! The remaining Greek gods made an agreement with the human long ago to reside in an art museum. They combined most of their power to create an reinforced wall around the museum, once the gates closed, no evil can come in. …

One of artist performing at my favorite place in the world? of course I would attend! it’s a no-brainer! The only question for attending Regina Spektor’s Live at Soho, Apple Store is just logistic issue like how early I should be there since it’s a Friday and it’s a free limited space event!  Given the recent surge in popularity of her music, such as being one of the main song in (500) Days of Summer, I really wasn’t sure if leaving a few hours early from work would be good …

A zompire is a vampire that got infected with the zombie virus, which make he much more able sustain his hunger and live among human. There are a number of advantages that we, the researchers haven’t been able to figure out yet since this is not a common occurrence. We did confirm that they do not have a craving for brain like zombies. The only one existing zompire we are tracking right now appeared to be just a regular vampire when it migrated to the Americas with the Spanish …

Every once in a while there comes along a meaningful film that makes you think, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Garden State are such examples. Earlier in the summer there was Away We Go come close, but (500) Days of Summer is the film that I related to the most. (500) Days of Summer – if you can do the math, you know it’s not possible, so Summer here is not the season, but a character. Let me quote the narrator straight from the film: “It …

After a 2 years wait, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is finally here. It’s well worth the wait. First of all it’s so nice to be reunited with my favorite characters on the screen! Just seeing them put a smile on my face. Then the surprising direction to play up the light-hearted moments, the romantic and comedy aspects of the book really give the series a whole new feeling and even look as well. It’s actually a well-needed balance from the last movie and I …

The Last Olympian is a satisfying conclusion to the Percy Jackson series. Imagine the battle of Hogwarts in book 7 of Harry Potter or the Battle of Helms Deep in Lord of the Rings but move the setting into modern day Manhattan! It is grand and epic, and honestly perfect for a Hollywood treatment! I mean, comeon, a mystical battle raging in the city of New York, with landmarks like the Central Park, Grand Central, Williamsburg Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel, the UN, Fifth Ave and of course, the Empire State …

2009 is a tough year for Whoinverse fans.  Not only this is the last year for the beloved Tenth Doctor David Tennant, but also because of his commitment with the theater, instead of a regular 13 episodes season, there are only 4 specials leaving fans wanting more.  Then Doctor Who’s spin-off Torchwood for some reason also don’t have a regular season, instead it become a one week miniseries of 5 episodes.  Of course I was questioning that decision very much, unlike Doctor Who, none of the Torchwood actors were committing …

I don’t have much expectation about the movie, cos from the first movie we know what we are getting into, a film that everything else sucks except the robots.  And this time when the trailers started to show up a couple months ago, it didn’t even excite me!  So when I go in the theater, I fully expect it sucks, and let’s say it’s even worst than I thought!
No matter how hard Shia LaBeouf tried, he’s still this annoying kid to me in every movie, this time around he got …
