Uni Dinner @ Soto

13 October 2009 712 views No Comment

I was having a craving for sea urchin, the delicious uni.  So I search for high and low, for the best place to enjoy this delicatessen! From my research I found out that Soto in the Village has an unusual menu that is rich with uni – not only one dish, but five!  The chef there just love to use this ingredient, so I have no choice but to try it out, no matter how expensive it will be.  The result does not disappointed, I was pretty much in heaven! Not only does the uni dishes tasted awesome, so are the other non-uni dishes.

Here are the orders:

Geoduck Clam Salad – ginger marinated giant clam, japanese cucumber, daikon and shiso, spicy radish sprouts

Salmon Citrus – lightly cured fresh scottish salmon with cilantro, scallion under sudachi citrus sauce

Steamed Lobster with Uni Mousse – layers of steamed main lobster and uni mousse in lotus wrap garnished with smoked uni and caviar

Uni Cocktail – which is just uni served in martini glass

Uni with white shrimp roll and another incredible tasty sushi that I forgot the name (excuse me for only remember the uni dishes! that’s the main event!!)

It was a heavenly dinner! I have no other description for it – just go and try it yourself if money is not an issue for the month!
