Zombieland

Zombieland-posterZombieland was an action comedy that is pure fun, and oh, it has zombies in it! The plot is pretty standard zombie flick – virus turn human into flesh-eating zombies, and now there’s only very few people left in this world.  It was only two months after the zombie apocalypse, but most places are already deserted.  Woody Harrelson find the perfect role to play here as a guy who find killing zombies as fun as sport, and his only passion is to find the remaining Twinkies on Earth! Jesse Eisenberg plays the nervous shy guy type so well and loves films that has plots with amusement park – so naturally after the movie Adventureland, he’s in Zombieland playing the similar type of nervous shy guy.  On their journey they encountered the con artists sister Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin, eventually they all travel together.  Their destination – an amusement park called Pacific Playland.

The best part of the movie is that it doesn’t take itself seriously, the whole movie is about having fun instead of trying to scare you with zombies.  Oh and the absolute best part of the movie was this cameo midway through the movie where our foursome decided to crash in some Hollywood mansions.  I am not going to ruin the experience for you by saying who that person is, but man, that person is always awesome and it was just perfect! It’s always great to find actors who don’t mind playing themselves on films and make fun of themselves.

Because the movie is all about fun, so it doesn’t try to explain or wrap up the “event” by trying to find cure for humanity or a sanctuary or anything.  You just don’t worry about it. And the only thing you left wondering after the movie is what other rules are on that list of Jesse Eisenberg’s character!
