How To Train Your Dragon

5 April 2010 480 views No Comment

I really really like this movie, I am not sure if it’s because the story was adopted from a book that make this animated adventure more coherent and complete or something else, but it is definitely a higher quality than some other animated movies (not comparing to the Gold standard of Pixar’s of course) First of all this movie really has a heart. The training dragon scenes is a lot more touching and satisfying than the one in Avatar! And Toothless is just the more adorable dragon you can ever seen! I want one!!! Second of it this movie is not afraid to show sacrifice! in the end both the dragon and the lead character are (spoiler warning……………..) handicapped, a bittersweet ending that is extremely rare in today’s movie, let along an animated film aimed at children. The animation, character designs and voice talents are top notch, the humoreous take on the Viking world is engaging and unique. No wonder this is the best reviewed movie of this year so far. Highly recommended.
