Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Apparently adding zombies to the plot does not make a book less boring! When I first heard of this book Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, I was excited and have to get my hands on the book despite my inability to finish any Jane Austen books because for whatever reason, I just can’t stand them. Luckily Hollywood has make countless adaptations over year so I am familiar withthe basic plotlines for most of her works.

I had high hope for the book since whatever can be more exciting than adding zombies to the mix? It was fun at first too, I guess the excitment of what to expect extended through out the first few chapters. Unfortunately once you get used to the idea that zombies exists in that time in England and that people were all sent to Asia for Kung Fu training as they grow up, the story, essentially, is still Pride and Prejudice. It took me 6 months to finish reading it simply because I was dragging my feet through out most chapters. I will still give the author another chance when I dive into his next book Abraham Lincoln the Vampire Hunter, let’s hope it won’t disappoint!
