Return of Glee

I definitely like Glee more than I thought.  There is just something about musical on TV that I just like.  Strangely I don’t like musicals on Broadway as much.  The only ones that I truly liked was Spring Awakening and Rent!  Mostly I think is the musical style, they are more pop-rock than the traditional big numbers.  Anyway, Glee immediately captured my attention with Lea Michelle as the lead since she was also the lead in Spring Awakening.  I enjoyed the first 13 episodes of the show.  I just love their renditions of songs from classic to contemporary.  Truth be told I was looking forward to the performances more so than the story-lines.

Anyway, after a long break, Glee finally returned and to my surprise, it add even more elements for me to like the show even more – in the form of two new characters Jesse, played by none other than the other lead in Spring Awakening, Jonathan Groff, and Shelby, the coach of the rivaling team, played by Rent! alum Idina Menzel!  It can’t possible get better, but we know it will because of all the rumored guest stars that are coming up.

Favorite songs for the episode of “Hell-O”:

Hello (Lea and Jonathan)

Gives You Hell (Lea)
