About

Me:

Someone who consider himself as magical as Harry Potter, as neurotic as Ally McBeal, as geeky as Willow Rosenberg and as sensey as John Dorian…

He talks like Doctor Who most of the time, with all the technomumble, timey-wimey stuff.  His favorite topic is Apple. He lives in New York, and wouldn’t consider living somewhere else due to the abundant of authentic Japanese restaurants, easy access to the many Chinatowns within one city, the tolerates and the diversity of the city, the walkable streetscape, and the culture and personality that you can’t find from anywhere else.

Blog History:

I started blogging in 2004 because of one person.  I need to express my emotion.  Afterward the blog evolved and become a little of everything with emphasis on Apple and New York.  The blog started in Blogger and stayed with their service until August 2008 when I switch to self-hosting using WordPress 2.6.

Version 1 of the blog was using the Harbor template by Douglas Bowman, but slowly I change the look of it little by little, until all the nautical elements were removed and some new york creep into it.  However, it was limited by my skills and the old Blogger’s functionality.  It wasn’t until Blogger switched to a newer architecture in Summer 2006 that I was able to have a more comprehensive self-design theme.

Version 2 started in August of 2006 with a New York City theme with a two columns layout.

Version 2.5 switched to a 3-columns layout in May 2007

Version 3.0 comes with a major redesign that contains 4 switchable themes (Apple, Wizard, New York, Librarian) each based on one passion or aspect in my life – Mac, Harry Potter, New York, and Books.  It was launched on the 3rd anniversary of the blog on July 28, 2007.

Version 3.2 is a redesign of the Wizard theme. Launched on July 30, 2008.

Version 4.0 moved the blog to a self-hosted site using WordPress 2.6.2. The theme was based on Michael Jubel’s Arthemia 2.  It contains 4 rotating header art that pays tribute to the past 4 switchable themes back in Blogger.  Launched on October 9, 2008.

Version 4.1 headers now rotated automatically using javascript, October 12, 2008.

Version 4.2 added Featured Box in sidebar on November 22, 2008.

Version 4.3 updated the color scheme of the site on November 29, 2008. Temporarily use alternate headers during the duration of my LA trip for a week.

Version 4.4 changed the New York header and added a Miriam header on December 13, 2008.

Version 4.5 added Catwalk header on February 22, 2009.

Version 4.6 added “Related Posts” at the end of each post on May 19, 2009.
