This season I really didn’t find any compelling new shows for me to follow. The only new shows I watch regularly are Nikita and Better With You. None of them can get me watched obsessively like 30 Rock or Glee. Just when I almost give up, a new show eat its way in! Walking Dead, as far as I know the first zombie TV show (yes I am aware that UK has Dead Set, but it’s more like a one-shot mini series~), is as serious a drama as you can get. …

The latest season of Doctor Who was a strong season with a fantastic Doctor, I do have some problems with a particular plot element, but luckily the season finale completely erased my complain by being so cleverly plotted. The first part “Pandorica Opens” is epic and emotional….

I still very much like this new season of Doctor Who and the New Doctor, but one problem has been staring at me the whole time – how they treat the season arc this season! In the past seasons under Russell Davis, the arc are very subtle hints and words that none of the characters really notice until almost the last episodes, like Bad Wolf in season 1, Saxon in season 3, or missing planets in season 4. This season, however, the crack in time and space is …

The wait is finally over, a brand new Doctor crashing out of the sky into our backyard. We all have our doubt about how this younger hipster-ish eccentric new Doctor would work and from the moment he climb out of the box, er, the Police Box we all know and love, he own the role! David Tennant is still my favorite Doctor, but yet Matt Smith somehow fit right into the role. I thought I need at least a few episode to get used to him, so it’s …

I definitely like Glee more than I thought. There is just something about musical on TV that I just like. Strangely I don’t like musicals on Broadway as much. The only ones that I truly liked was Spring Awakening and Rent! Mostly I think is the musical style, they are more pop-rock than the traditional big numbers. Anyway, Glee immediately captured my attention with Lea Michelle as the lead since she was also the lead in Spring Awakening. I enjoyed the first 13 episodes of the show. I just love …

I am going to miss Ugly Betty. Yes it did lost its way a bit in its 2rd and 3rd season. The plot lines were getting ridiculous – UB always has over the top plots, but it was getting completely outrageous, especially the whole Alexis and then the stolen sperm turn heir storyline. However, somewhere in the 3rd season it found its footing in New York and the storyline was getting better, and you can really see the growth for many…

Part 2 of End of Time was touching and disappointing at the same time. Spoiler alert of course. David and Bernard gave some strong performances, especially in those quiet scenes without actions! Those are the meat of the episode! I also loved that final moment the Master and the Doctor worked together to send the Time Lords back, it was this complex frienemy relationship that make these two character interesting! I also like how the two silly aliens that were pretty much a comic relief in Part 1 is actually incredible …

Spoiler alert……..
Writing about part 1 of a 2 part episode is always difficult because you never really get the full picture of the story. Part 1 is always consist of setups and cliffhangers. That is the case here with part 1 of End of Time. What made this particularly an un even episode is that it is also a Christmas special episode! We tend to forget that Doctor Who was a family show in all its history and still is one after the revival. Its Christmas special were always a …
