Not sure why but yet another dream with friends and food.
In the dream I was in a wedding reception. I was talking to this guy that I like. He’s Eastern European looking and nice. Then there’s this chatty person showed up and immediately talking to me before I can acknowledge him. I was trying to be nice so I had no choice but to talk with him, although I did make the conversation as short as possible. But the guy I like have harsh word for me. He said by …

Now that I started to read New Moon, the second book in the Twilight Series. I think I need to talk about the first book – Twilight a little more before I move on. At first I really don’t understand why the book was so captivating to me. As good as it is, in term of young adult fantasy series, it doesn’t have the depth of His Dark Materials, nor the complexity of the Harry Potter world. But to my surprise, it hooked me just as much as these two …

Clarke, one of the last of the sci-fi literature giants, who is also a visionary in technology that conceptualized communication using satellite. His best known work is 2001 A Space Odyssey. Although I didn’t like the movie, but I absolutely loved the book and the entire series. His other works such as Childhood’s End and Rendezvous with Rama are among my favorites as well. His concept and style of Science …

I did quite a few research in the last two weeks for all the neat tricks I can do to the blog. Now that I am officially in the phase of project to give the blog a new look, knowing more about CSS is a must. I play around with CSS last year when I did the current look of the blog, but didn’t truly trying to understand it. This time around I want to try a little harder to learn, so I was reading the books …

It’s very fortunate that I work in a location that is full with Japanese in the ‘hood. So not only there are abundant good affordable Japanese food for lunch, there are also 3 Japanese bookstores around. Not that I know how to read Japanese, nor have any intention of learning. (I can barely handle two languages! and I am lazy!) I could, in the best case scenario, guess about the meaning of 6 characters in a 50 words paragraph. But in any case, I love going to these Japanese bookstores. …
